Freestyle America camps feature a staff of expert coaches, whose task is to deliver the curriculum and training methods specific to each camp’s format. All camp coaches are USSA licensed, assuring athletes and parents the highest level of professionalism, when teaching and managing the athletes. Director and Head Coach, Nick Preston, has designed a curriculum, that establishes goals for each athlete and documents their progress throughout each camp. Nick has received coaching awards from USSA and the USOC, and is recipient of USSA’s Russell Wilder Award for his contribution to youth sports in skiing. Assisting the coaches and lending inspiration and support to the athletes are special guests from the US Ski Team and from the elite ranks of free skiing.
Locations, venues, and features are important, but it is the expertise of the coaches, the curriculum that comprise the coaching program, and the individualized attention to each athlete that are the hallmark of Freestyle America camps. Risk is ever present in skiing and acrobatics, the coaching staff strives to maintain the quality of each training venue with oversight to uphold strict safety standards for all camp activities.
